Whitechapel Village Hall is a welcoming and flexible venue for celebrations, christenings, engagement parties, family gatherings, community events and much more.
Every booking includes use of both adjoining halls, giving you plenty of space and flexibility to arrange the venue to suit your event. Each hall can accommodate up to 150 people, depending on the layout.
Your booking time must include all setting up, the event itself, cleaning and clearing away.
We offer a range of straightforward hire options for family celebrations, evening functions, children’s parties, weddings and funeral wakes, with additional extras available where required.

Our hall is situated on the edge of the Forest of Bowland in a village called Whitechapel. The venue is 20 minutes away from Preston City centre and 10 minutes away from Longridge.

Weddings

Wedding hire includes exclusive use of both adjoining halls, giving you plenty of freedom to create different spaces for your ceremony, wedding breakfast, evening reception, dancing or quieter seating areas. The venue can accommodate up to 150 guests, depending on your chosen layout.
The neutral décor, beautiful wooden flooring and built-in stage provide a lovely blank canvas that can be styled simply or completely transformed for your special day.
Whitechapel Village Hall is a DIY wedding venue, allowing you to choose your own caterers, decorations, entertainment and suppliers. Wedding bookings include three-day access, with Friday for setting up, Saturday for your celebration and Sunday for cleaning and clearing away.
Your hire includes:
- 12 round tables seating up to 8 guests each
- 24 oblong tables seating up to 6 guests each
- Over 150 chairs
- Use of both halls
- The shared prep kitchen
- Toilets and accessible toilets
- The built-in stage
- Plenty of on-site parking

The hall is also well suited to live bands, singers and DJs, with a built-in stage and plenty of space for dancing and evening entertainment.
Set in a peaceful countryside location overlooking Beacon Fell, the venue has a relaxed rural feel while still offering plenty of practical facilities, including a large on-site car park.
The MUGA can also be hired alongside the hall, making it a useful extra for children, outdoor games or informal activities during your celebration.
There is one shared prep kitchen on site, with tea and coffee-making facilities, a fridge, freezer and small cooker. It is intended as a basic preparation and serving space, so we recommend using outside caterers who can bring everything they need for the day.
Our three-day wedding package gives you access on Friday for setting up, Saturday for your wedding celebration and Sunday for cleaning and clearing away.
